WP 2 – INTEGRATE HEAT & COOL

Focuses on designing and evaluating high-efficiency thermal systems using natural refrigerants for industrial heating and cooling. It includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and the development of critical components like ejectors.

Develops innovative high-temperature Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems. It includes advancements in heat transfer fluids and tailored TES designs to meet industrial requirements.

WP 4 – DECARBONISE

Lead: Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia

Creates digital tools for analyzing industrial processes and managing decarbonization. Includes a hybrid digital-twin model and an integrated Decarbonization Management Platform.

WP 5 – TEST

Lead: Kauman

Focuses on manufacturing, integrating, and testing innovative thermal systems at pilot sites. This package evaluates system performance under real-world conditions.

WP 6 – ASSESS

Lead: LEITAT

Conducts a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and evaluates societal impacts. This package includes stakeholder engagement and the exploration of geothermal energy’s public perception.
